Selling the Protective Marine VSC with its PAC Options

  1. Start your deal as you typically would until you reach the Layout page.
  2. From here, implement the Protective Marine VSC and any of the additional PAC Options (Including Accessory and Navigation) you would like to pair with it.
  3. Click Get All Rates.
  4. Your rating pop-up will appear. Be sure that all Pre-Rate fields are filled out appropriately for your deal criteria.

    1. If you would like coverages that include surcharge availability for Trailers or Tire & Wheel, utilize the Include Trailer and Include Tire & Wheel check boxes.
    2. If you are selling Accessory as an Option included in the VSC, be sure to utilize the Include Accessory field and the Acc Factory Warr Term.
    3. If you are selling Navigation as an Option included in the VSC, be sure to utilize the Include Navigation field.

Note:

  • Items marked with a red asterisk are the information required by the vendor to return accurate coverages.
  • If the Acc Factory Warr Term is the same or greater than the term of the VSC, the PAC options will not be available during the coverage selection process.

5. Once you have completed filling the Pre-Rate Fields they will look something like the following. Click Next.

6. Our system will send the information from your deal to the vendor to process. Once the vendor has returned a list of coverages for each product, you will receive a Success message. You may click Close on the pop-up.

7. From here use the blue pencil button next to the VSC to view the coverages.

8. Select the coverage you wish to display to the customer using the blue + button.

9. From here you may add your Options as needed. To add an Option check the box next to your associated Option. You may override the price of the Option by editing the price in the price field. Be sure to use a numerical value. Once you are done making your changes select the Apply button.

Note: Tire & Wheel is not a PAC and therefore is only ever sold in conjunction with the VSC and is never a separate display entry on the Menu.

10. If you would like to include Accessory and Navigation as separate items for display, follow the steps below.

          a. Select the pencil button next to the PAC Option you are looking to edit.

         b. Click View Rates.

          c. Your list of coverages will appear. Be sure to select the same coverage that aligns with the information you entered for the VSC PAC Options during the VSC rate selection min step. 8.

          d. In the Price field $0 is the retail price as it is already being included within the VSC.

If you have completed the display selection for the VSC and both PAC Options, your layout page may look something like the following.

11. Proceed with your typical sales process until you reach 2. Product Contracting on the Forms Page.

12. Select the VSC Product entry as Sold.

13. Select the Generate button.

14. Protective may request pre-contracting information. Fill this out with your deal details. When you are done, select the Next button.

14. Because you selected the PAC options within the VSC rating in step 9 the correlating PAC information will appear.

15. Once the VSC has been contracted you may then mark your PAC Option display entries as sold to have them marked appropriately on the Sale Waiver and in Reports

16. You may proceed and close your deal via your typical process.
