Automated Reporting

How do I enter Automated Reporting information?

MenuMetric reports all deals that are in a closed/finalized status in your DMS.  If you complete a deal but do not finalize it, it will not be reported until you do so.  Updates happen overnight, so deals you close today will show in reports tomorrow morning.

  • MenuMetric will log any product as sold that has a Price OR Cost that is greater than $0 in your DMS.
  • Product name, price, and cost must be entered in the appropriate field in the DMS.
  • Products sold must be entered in the Product (aftermarket) section of the DMS, they should not be listed as fees.
  • Rolling products into the vehicle price means MenuMetric cannot see the product and will not report.
  • Any error in numbers or product names will cause errors in MenuMetric reporting.
  • Product names in your DMS are VERY important.
  1. Be specific and clear in naming.
  2. Include the vendor name.

  • Example 1
  • You sell Interstate and ASI Service Contracts at your dealership.
  • You type "Service Contract" into your DMS as the product name.
  • MenuMetric will not know which product to mark as sold and your reporting could be incorrect.

  • Example 2
  • You sell Ford Maintenance and Ford VSCs.
  • You should type Ford Maintenance or Ford VSC into the DMS.
  • Simply typing "Ford" or "ESP Premium" into your DMS will cause MenuMetric reporting to be incorrect.

Most importantly, MenuMetric will report exactly what you enter into your DMS.  Everything needs to be in the correct place and clearly labeled.  Any errors in data entry in your DMS will result in errors in MenuMetric reports.
